CBS 13 SPORTS: Yuma RBI D-backs players surprised at Chase Field, D-backs falter late against Astros

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - It was a day to remember for five Yuma athletes, as they were surprised by Corbin Carroll before Tuesday's Diamondbacks game.

The D-Backs All-Star gifted them City Connect uniforms, Nike cleats, and more as part of the RBI program’s mission to support young talent.

Cesar Chavira, Juan Pablo Chavez, Julio Reina, Carlos Gonzales, and Eli Lujan earned their spots after a competitive mini-season and will now represent Yuma at the regional tournament in Seattle.

Meanwhile, the D-backs' big-league squad suffered a tough 3-2 loss to the Astros, despite a strong outing from Eduardo Rodriguez.
