Wife of murdered Cal Fire captain arrested in Mexicali

MEXICALI, B.C. (KYMA, KECY) - The estranged wife of a murdered Cal Fire captain has been found and arrested in Mexicali Saturday.

Rebecca Marodi, 49, was found stabbed to death inside her home last month, prompting police to search for her estranged wife, 53-year-old Yolanda Marodi.

Mexicali law enforcement joined in the search for Marodi after police in the United States say she maybe in Mexico.

According to an NBC affiliate in San Diego, Marodi spent 13 years in prison for stabbing her estranged husband in the fall of 2000.
