FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Sunny days, yet cooler and potentially freezing temps coming to the area

KYMA

While conditions are likely to remain mild during the day, evening lows could create freeze warnings over the next week

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Dry conditions and colder than normal temperatures are expected across the region through the majority of the period. The next weather system will arrive early Friday morning, bringing a chance of light showers to high terrain areas and breezy conditions near the Colorado River Valley. Meanwhile, persistent runoff in larger washes and creeks across Gila county will continue causing minor flooding in localized rural areas through the end of the week. Heading into the weekend through early next week, freezing temperatures are expected during the early morning hours across several of the lower desert communities.
