Weather Alert: Hot temperatures taking over all week long

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - High pressure will turn up the heat this week bringing major heat risks to our region.

An Excessive Heat Warning will go into Tuesday morning through Monday evening and it does include the entire Desert Southwest.

An increase in moisture will likely result in isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms across the eastern and mountain areas for Arizona.

However within our area no rain opportunities are expected, but we have muggier conditions for Tuesday.

As the week continues notice the rise in our temperatures throughout the week.

Overexposure can cause heat cramps and heat exhaustion to develop and, without intervention, can lead to heat stroke.
