Weather Authority / KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Calm winds, comfortable temperatures and clear skies are expected across Yuma and Imperial counties to start the week, with highs gradually warming into the mid to upper 80s before minimal rain chances return later in the week.

Sunday afternoon temperatures are expected to reach around 85°F in both Yuma and El Centro, with light winds and mostly clear skies continuing into the evening.

A slight warming trend will continue Monday, with highs reaching around 86°F in both communities.

Tuesday will bring similar conditions, with Yuma staying around 86°F and El Centro warming to approximately 87°F.

Overnight temperatures will remain cool and comfortable, with lows dropping into the lower 60s in Yuma and the upper 50s to around 60°F in El Centro.

Winds are expected to remain light throughout the start of the week with gusts tracking around 5 to 10 miles per hour through Tuesday.

Dry and tranquil weather conditions are expected to continue through the middle of the week, with temperatures staying near seasonal averages for late October.

However, the forecast could become more active toward the end of the week. A return to unsettled weather is likely, bringing increased chances for rainfall across the region.

For now, residents can expect a stretch of sunshine and pleasant fall weather to begin the week, with attention turning to the potential for rain as the weekend approaches.
