Weather Alert: Excessive Heat continues

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - A Widespread highs of 110+ are expected across the desert southwest throughout the week.

The Excessive Heat Warning has been extended through Friday with highs expected to reach 111-117 degrees.

High temperatures will continue to soar around 5-7 degrees above normal with minimum relative humidity falling below 15 percent each afternoon.

Take a look at our hot temperatures we will be experiencing all this week.

Remember with the hotter temperatures, it can be very dangerous, and even deadly, so make sure to be safe and take the proper precautions.

Breezier conditions is expected by tonight where highest gusts of 25 MPH is expected in Imperial County.

Winds will linger into tomorrow afternoon for 4th of July where highest gusts 25-40 MPH.

Dry and breezy conditions is expected each afternoon this week, which will result in elevated fire weather concerns, don't forget about fire safety tips.
