Tracking unpleasant conditions as we wrap up the weekend

Weather Authority / KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - After a brief taste of moisture Friday, humid conditions are sticking around across the Desert Southwest to wrap up the weekend. While we aren't expecting any rainfall today, the added humidity will continue to make temperatures feel even warmer.

Highs this afternoon will climb to around 109°F in Yuma County and 112°F in the Imperial Valley, running several degrees above average for mid-June. Dew points remaining in the upper 50s and lower 60s will keep conditions muggy by desert standards.

We'll also see some breezy conditions develop during the afternoon and evening hours. Wind gusts could reach 16-19 mph in Yuma County and 23-24 mph in the Imperial Valley.

If you're spending time outdoors, make sure to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks. Even overnight temperatures will remain warm, only falling to around 80°F by Monday morning.
