Seasonable heat but it’s still hot

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - High pressure will continue remain in place bringing 110+ temperatures for some areas across the region.

There is an Excessive Heat Warning in effect for the Phoenix area until 8 p.m. Thursday.

Winds will pick up for Imperial County this evening where gusts could peak 20-40 MPH and patchy blowing dust will also be possible.

For next week, as high pressure strengthens over the region, even hotter conditions are expected and will bring extreme heat risks for our area.

Take a look below at expected high temperatures next week.

Also, enough moisture moving into the southern half of Arizona next week will potentially bring some chances for isolated high-terrain storms.
