Warming temperatures and some wind are on the way

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Warmer temperatures are moving in today, but we will still be cooler for June as highs are expected in the mid-90s today.

For tonight it will be breezy, with a west-southwest wind of 10 to 15 MPH, winds could gust as high as 20 MPH.

Below-normal temperatures will continue through the next couple days before a warming trend through the weekend will rise our temperatures to near average for this time of year.

Saturday and Sunday are trending to be the hottest days of the year so far.

Afternoon breeziness picking up through the middle and latter portions of the week.

Stronger winds and blowing dust will favor Imperial County Wednesday and Thursday evenings with gusts as high as 35 MPH will be expected.
