More storm potential with cooler days to come

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Finally taking a break from the triple-digits however, still remaining warmer than normal across the Desert Southwest before a cooling trend starts to kick in.

Get ready for a warm and humid Thursday as more moisture returns within the area tomorrow.

Our dew points will jump right back into the low and upper 60s making it feel sticky.

More storms are possible for the lower desert starting tomorrow afternoon where strong gusty winds are possible.

Storm potential will linger into our weekend and going into early next week.

The moment we've all been waiting for is cooler temperatures here in the desert.

A gradual cooling trend is on the way, where afternoon highs by next week is expected to drop into the low 90s.
