Last day of September with a cooler weekend ahead

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Today marks the last day of September and we are ending the month slightly drier and cooler.

Winds will start to pick up this evening with wind gusts of 15 to 20 MPH.

Breezy conditions will carry into our Saturday with possible gusts peaking near 20 MPH.

Humidity will linger through the weekend across the Desert Southwest with chances for isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly for La Paz county until Monday.

Looking into our weekend, it will be mostly clear skies with temperatures trending slightly above our seasonal average of 96 degrees, but it will be cooler than what we felt earlier this week.
