Starting the first day of summer with seasonable temperatures and rain chances

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Today marks the first official day of the summer season and our temperatures will be seasonably warm for our afternoon highs, but will be warmer than usual for tonight's lows.

We will increase in cloud cover and moisture as our dew points will rise into humid conditions later this afternoon and through our evening.

We have chances to experience some rain showers and thunderstorms within our area come this evening.

Rain chances will extend through early tomorrow morning. Temperatures are on the rise as we will heat up back to above normal later this week.
