Warmer day with a cool down on the way

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Excessive Heat Warning CANCELLED within our area, but a Heat Warning still remains in portions of Arizona.

Temperatures for Yuma and Imperial are still going to be a hot and above-normal, average for today is 104-degrees. Make sure to drink plenty of water, stay in air-conditioned buildings, and NEVER leave people or pets in a closed car.

Light breeze this afternoon and evening with wind gusts of 10 to 20 MPH.

By tomorrow we will increase in moisture and have cooler temperatures for the upcoming weekend. We have light storm chances on Saturday.
