It’s getting hotter!

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - We will see some clouds in our sky throughout the day, but conditions staying dry. Temperatures are on the rise again today with afternoon highs to be the hottest so far this week.

Excessive Heat Warning will go into effect from 10 AM today until 8 PM Sunday for dangerously hot conditions with expected highs reaching 115 over the upcoming days.

Make sure to take proper precautions by drinking plenty of water, staying in air-conditioned buildings, and never leaving people or pets in closed cars.

Tonight's lows will cool down to the double digits, but temperatures will still be warm.

Temperatures will continue to increase for the rest of the week and weekend temperatures are trending to be the hottest of the year so far with highs reaching 115.
