News 11 Weather Authority: Temps rising again

May 23rd, 2022

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Coming off a mild weather weekend where we only maxed our daytimes highs from the low to mid 90s, the heat begins building back up again.

Our Desert Southwest high temperatures peaked in the realm between 95 to 98 degrees on this Monday.

It might be the final time our mercury stays this manageable for the next 3 to 4 months.

A stronger ridge of high pressure is progressively working it's way over from the East Pacific and will easily elevate our highs into the 100 to 105 degree range.

Don't expect this level of temperatures to let up much through the coming Memorial Day weekend.
