Beautiful day ahead for MLK day!

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! It's going to be a mild day with warm and dry conditions.

Clear skies are back and our temperatures are staying in the 70s. We are above normal our average is 70-degrees and our expected high for the afternoon will be in the mid-70s. Also, our winds will remain light as wind speeds will be 10 MPH or below for today.

A ridge of high pressure will be keeping the Desert Southwest nice and warm, however, there is another storm system expected across the North starting tomorrow. There are slight chances for light showers and sprinkles, but chances remain very light for the Yuma and Imperial areas. The Weather Authority Team will bring updates if we see an increase in rain chances or if future storms are expected to develop in the area.

We will have more moisture starting tomorrow, so we can expect muggier conditions as our dew points will rise in the upper and low 40s. Temperatures will remain in the 70s and we will see these warm temperatures as well as a possible warm-up later this week. Tomorrow we can expect to see more clouds, but we will clear out by Wednesday and will see more sunshine and clear skies for the rest of the week.
