Ringing in a mild start to the New Year!

A weak disturbance will pass through our area as we roll into 2020

Courtesy: Anonymous viewer

We're slowly pulling out of our recent post-Christmas cold spell, bringing our area temperatures more than 10 degrees below normal.

But, a weak low with little to no moisture association should keep our daytime highs in the 60's from now through the 1st couple of days of the brand new year.

High pressure should build into the Desert Southwest by the upcoming weekend; elevating our daytime highs into the 70's.

That warmth momentum should last us well into the 1st full week of 2020.

The effects of the ridge will also include mostly clear to clear skies through that period of time, with minimal to no rain chances for at least the next week or so.
