Mild trend continues

Temperatures should top off close to 70 degrees by the weekend.

We are slowly feeling the colder mercury wear off, as a ridge in the interior West will become the main weather player for our area starting on Friday.

The mild warming trend will elevate our daytime highs from the high 60's to the low 70's through the rest of the weekend.

The Desert Southwest should remain relatively clear through that span of time, before a series of lows will bring the ominous clouds back into the scene by the beginning of next week.

We will likely see rain chances emerge from Monday through Christmas Eve on Tuesday, with temperatures dropping back into the low to mid 60's (as far as the daytime highs are concerned).

As of right now, the skies should clear back up by the Christmas holiday, come next Wednesday.
