Final day of double-digit heat in the Desert Southwest

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - June is right around the corner and so are the triple-digits, and this time it's for good.

Saturday's highs will sit in the mid-90s with both Yuma and El Centro expected to max out at 94°F.

Moving into Sunday, the Desert Southwest will most likely break above the triple-digit threshold with both cities tracking to sit at 100°F at peak conditions.

Pairing with the moderate temperatures will be calm breezes across the region throughout Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

Heading into the evening hours for both days, gusts are trending towards the mid-to-high teens. Saturday night's winds will quickly increase starting around 6 p.m.

The moderate temperatures and nice breeze are expected to be paired with plenty of sunshine, making for a great weekend in the Desert Southwest!
