FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Temps inch closer towards 120 and rain still a possibility over the weekend

KYMA

Temps continue to increase within the 110's range and chances at showers are still very much a possibility over the weekend

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Today has been another historically hot day, as the record heat wave across central to southern Arizona continues over the next several days.

Excessive Heat Warnings remain in effect through Friday evening as the daily record high and (highest) low temperatures continue to either be broken or within a couple of degrees of being broken during this period.

Daily thunderstorm chances will remain low across higher terrain areas through the rest of the week, with chances increasing going through this upcoming weekend.
