Temperatures continue to stay around the 110 mark as winds begin to come through the Desert Southwest

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A strong ridge of high pressure will continue to dominate the overall weather pattern through the remainder of this week and through this weekend.

Widespread highs of 110F+ are expected across the region for the foreseeable future.

The Excessive Heat Warning has been extended for the lower deserts through Friday where highs are expected to reach 111-116F.

Dry and breezy conditions each afternoon will result in elevated fire weather concerns.
