FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Increased storm chance for Imperial County as temperatures could get cooler soon

While temps could reach up to the 90's next week we could also be getting a major temperature drop soon

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA,KECY) - Drier air from the north continues to filter into the forecast
area with breezy northerly winds currently across the Colorado River Valley this afternoon. Breezy conditions are expected to spread eastward across the Phoenix metro this afternoon and
evening, with these winds lingering into tomorrow morning for the
higher terrain north and east of Phoenix. Otherwise, quiet
weather conditions with high temperatures remaining in the low to
mid 80s across lower deserts are expected going into next week. A
dynamic weather system developing over the middle portions of
next week are increasing confidence in a cooler and wetter pattern
going into the latter portions of next week.
