FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Potential cloud cover and high temps for the weekend

No activity on Tuesday may lead to clear skies ahead but at the weekend rolls around some light clouds could be on the way

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A chance for showers and storms will continue today mostly across
the high terrain east of Phoenix, along with slight lingering chances for Phoenix this afternoon before much drier air diminishes rain chances across most of the region by tonight and tomorrow. A return to above to well above normal temperatures are likely by Friday, and then peak over the weekend and early next week with highs exceeding 110. A slight chance of high terrain showers and storms could return over the weekend through early next week.
