First Alert Forecast: Extreme heat

Record heat returns to the desert southwest with excessive heat warning in effect until tomorrow night.

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) -  Excessive heat will continue for lower elevations today with near record level highs, as some locales approach 120 degrees in southeast California. A slow cooling trend begins Thursday, but temperatures will remain near or above normal into this weekend before falling slightly below normal by early next week.
