YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- A low pressure system centered south of the region will slowly exit today with very light showers still possible during the first part of the day across southern Arizona.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), sunny conditions will prevail with a high today near 79. Wind coming from the north at around 15 miles per hour will persist with gusts as high as 25 miles per hour.

Mostly clear skies will prevail tonight with a low around 52. West wind around 5 mph becoming southeast after midnight.

A strong high pressure system will then overtake the region from the west over the next couple days leading to a significant warm up and well above normal temperatures by Thursday.

These warm conditions will last into the weekend, but high temperatures will drop back into the 70's starting Sunday after a weak upper level disturbance quickly moves through the region.
