SONORA, Mex. (KYMA, KECY, KSWT)- The United States Geological Survey (U.S.G.S.) reported a preliminary 4.2- Magnitude Earthquake located in Puerto PeƱasco.

The shaking was felt at around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. This area is about 121 miles away from Yuma, Arizona.

According to the U.S.G.S., the earthquake struck at a depth of 6.2 miles.

A 4.2-Magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale is enough to feel noticeable shaking of indoor objects.
