(KYMA, KSWT, KECY)- A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for East Central Yuma and Maricopa Counties until 7:30 a.m. Friday, November 29.

The National Weather Service (NWS) said locations that will experience flooding include Buckeye, Palo Verde, Painted Rock Dam, Cotton Center, Sundad, Hassayampa, Arlington, and Hyder.

According to NWS, here are some of the precautionary/preparedness actions to follow:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.

Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

In hilly terrain, there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads.

Find an alternate route.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
