CBS 13 Sports: Local fans gather for Mexico’s World Cup Round of 32 match

Lebron James announces he is leaving the Los Angeles Lakers, Luke Kennard signs with the Phoenix Suns

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Fans across the Desert Southwest gathered for Mexico's first round World Cup match against Ecuador.

The nation was looking for their first knockout stage victory since 1986.

After an eight-year run with the Lakers, James is setting out for a new team. The NBA's all-time leading scorer led the purple and gold to a championship in 2020.

A new sharpshooter is heading to the Suns. Luke Kennard inked a two-year, $13 million contract with Phoenix. He led the league from behind the three-point line, shooting 47.8%.
