Western Washington experiences snowstorm

(NBC) - Snow fell across the lowland in western Washington on Tuesday, causing power outages and treacherous driving conditions.

Rain and snow covered most of the region throughout the day on Tuesday and will continue throughout Wednesday.

Some areas could see as much as a foot of snow.

The icy conditions are also causing problems on the roads, meaning travel may be difficult for the morning commute.

Some school districts are choosing to delay or cancel classes Wednesday.
