Comcast helps hurricane Ian victims

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - Comcast says it's opened upwards of 200-thousand x-finity wi-fi hotspots in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and south Carolina.

The move is meant to help people stay connected during hurricane ian.

The public hotspots are available for free to everyone - including non-x-finity customers.

Roughly 90-thousand of the hotspots are in florida, where nearly 2 million people are without electricity

The wifi hotspots are available on their website
