Yuma County Library District and the City of Somerton plan a special event to celebrate children

SOMERTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Library District-Somerton is hosting a Dia De Los Ninos or Children's Day event on Saturday, April 24, 2021. The event starts at 10 a.m. and goes on until noon.

The library, the City of Somerton, and their partners are hosting a Drive-thru in hopes of motivating children to read. Throughout Yuma County libraries have been closed and have had to resort to curbside service-style operations.

Now, the event is open to all children who reside in Yuma County. The Somerton Library is located off of Jefferson Street just west of Somerton Avenue.
