Sunrise Exclusive: Small Town, Big Dreams

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY) - As a mother of two, a wife, and working full-time, 25-year-old Ariel Saucedo has made a big impact in the social media world.

With over 50,000 Instagram followers and 12,000 YouTube subscribers she creates and uploads all types of beauty content.

Ariel's most recent posts include beauty tutorials, product reviews, and lifestyle posts. She says when she initially started, she always knew she wanted to film YouTube videos.

However, Ariel was living at her father-in-law's house at the time and was worried about the environment she was living in wasn't glamorous enough to start filming.

Using a black blanket for her backdrop and a make-shift mount for the camera, she uploaded her first video and the rest was history. Now, Ariel draws in the eyes of her bilingual viewers as a big majority of her YouTube videos are filmed in Spanish.

A pink wig has become her signature across all media platforms and Ariel says the reason behind her wearing the wig stems from a funny story.

"Everyone thought I just wanted to look different, but I really didn't want to do my hair, and everyone knows that! It was so time-consuming doing my hair and then I didn't like how I looked and I just needed to buy myself a wig. But now I like the pink hair," says Saucedo.

Fast forward to a couple of years later, Ariel has become so popular cosmetic brands are sending her free products to show on her social media.

The list includes Covergirl, Estée Lauder, and Becca Cosmetics.

Currently, Ariel lives in Yuma and continues to upload to her Instagram and YouTube channel daily. She plans to focus on her YouTube career while juggling the rest of her everyday duties.

She explains how it all pays off when she's doing something she's passionate about.
