Florida woman charged with threatening Trump

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (NBC, KYMA) - A Florida woman is being held without bond after posting a message threatening to shoot President Trump during a campaign event, according to the Volusia Sheriff's Office.

The suspect in the case has been identified by officials as 21-year-old Allison Albro.

She was taken into custody Thursday night after posting the threat on-line.

Albro allegedly told investigators that she was only joking, and that she would never hurt anyone and that she did even own or have access to a gun.

The judge, during initial court hearing today, ruled that she be held without bond since the facts of the charge show the threat was against the President a day before he was due to be in town.

Trump is expected to hold a midterm rally in Daytona Beach, Florida on Friday night.
