Memorial Day ceremonies held in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON (NBC, KYMA) - There were multiple Memorial Day ceremonies held at our nation's capital Monday.

The first event was the Vietnam Memorial, where people paid tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam and in all conflicts.

The U.S. Navy Memorial held a wreath-laying ceremony to remember and honor those who served.

In addition, the Korean War Veterans Memorial Foundation held a Memorial Day ceremony and wreath presentation.

These events follow a powerful tradition dedicated to preserving the legacy of our nation's heroes.
