Local RV park to make Humane Society donation

The Humane Society of Yuma says they're at max capacity and have some kennels doubled up with dogs

YUMA, Ariz. (KECY, KYMA) - Residents at Westwind RV & Golf Resort are stepping up for our local furry friends.

This month they picked the Humane Society of Yuma as the beneficiary of their Friday night dance 50-50 raffles.

The Humane Society is currently at max capacity and says some of their kennels are doubled, even tripled up with dogs.

“All the donations were going to get from this amazing fundraiser will go right back to keeping all of these animals fed, water, help with microchipping, neutering, all of the above to help them eventually find their forever home,” Gray said.

Westwind RV says they’re always looking to help animals, and want their contributions to go a long way.

“This month we are hopeful we can donate over $1,500 to their cause which would be great,” Rusty Knapp said.

The Humane Society encourages anyone looking for a pet or trying to find a lost one to go to their location at Avenue 4 1/2 E and County 12th street.
