YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - It's time to meet our Pet of the Week for all you dog lovers this lovable pup could be the one for you.

Meet our Pet of the Week Ginger!  Ginger is a 1-year-old female mixed breed who loves love.

Ginger appears shy at first but warms up quickly.  

The Humane Society of Yuma picked Ginger as the pet of the week because she’s in the need of a forever home. 

What makes Ginger special is she’s a very happy pup, always smiling, and loves to snuggle.  

Her current foster says she is one of the easiest dogs she’s ever fostered. 

She gets along great with other dogs that are her size and loves to play with balls.  

Ginger also walks great on a leash, is potty, and crate trained.

HSOY is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Humane Society of Yuma will be closed on Monday, July 4th in honor of Independence Day.  

They will reopen on Tuesday, July 5th and will also be offering FREE returns to owners for any animal entering the shelter between July 1st and July 5th if reclaimed before July 7th.  

So if your pet becomes lost over the holiday weekend, please contact HSOY and get your pet back home.
