D-backs end five game skid with win on Memorial Day
Diamondbacks climb back to .500 behind strong performance from SP Ryne Nelson, long balls via Suarez and Naylor.
PHOENIX (KYMA, KECY) - On Memorial Day, the Arizona Diamondbacks returned to Chase Field after a brutal six game road trip with stops in Los Angeles and St. Louis.
Arizona finished the road trip 1-5 and dipped below .500 with a record of 26-27, marking the first time in 49 days the Diamondbacks sported a losing record.

"I feel like the team is functioning," Head coach Torey Lovullo said. "We play seven good innings and something gets away from us for six outs or five outs, something like that. So what I told the group is just give me your best nine innings tonight. Give me your nine best and we'll see what happens."
The Diamondbacks responded with starting pitcher Ryne Nelson tossing 6 2/3 scoreless innings. Eugenio Suarez and Josh Naylor supplied the power as Arizona rolled to a 5-0 win.

The Diamondbacks are back to .500 at 27-27 and continue the three game series with Pittsburgh tonight and Wednesday.
Despite the rollercoaster start, fans are optimistic the Diamondbacks will turn the season around soon and make a strong push to the postseason.
