Toros shut out Kings, improve to 2-2

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Somerton Toros picked up their second win of the season Tuesday, shutting out the Kofa Kings 9-0 at Irv Pallack Field.

Later in the game, Somerton's defense came up with its biggest play of the night.

With Kofa backed up near its own goal line, Arlene Mena got around the blocker and brought Murray down in the end zone for a safety.

The Toros held on for the 9-0 victory, improving to 2-2 on the season. Kofa remains winless at 0-5.

Both teams return to action Tuesday, when Somerton travels to Calexico. While Kofa hosts Holtville.
