Raul Robledo sets Central track record

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA) - A new chapter has been written in Central High School track and field history.

Raul Robledo officially became the school's new record holder in the 300-meter hurdles after posting a time of 39.46 seconds during the CIF San Diego Section Division I Championships this weekend.

Robledo’s performance broke the previous school record of 39.54 seconds, which had stood since 2018 and was set by Joseph Tarango.

By shaving nearly a tenth of a second off the mark, Robledo secured his place in the school's record books and capped off an impressive postseason run.

Robledo finished fifth overall at the meet in the 300-meter hurdles.
