Imperial falls to King/Drew to close out historic season

LOS ANGELES (KYMA) - The Imperial Tigers' memorable postseason run came to an end with a 58-45 loss to King/Drew in the CIF State Tournament.

After advancing all the way to the CIF Division One championship game and earning a spot on the state stage, Imperial capped off one of the most successful seasons in program history.

The Tigers finish the year with 23 wins, a testament to their consistency and growth throughout the season.

Competing in one of the toughest divisions in the section, Imperial battled its way through a challenging schedule and delivered statement performances when it mattered most.

Their run to the Division One title game showcased the toughness and resilience that defined this group.

Facing King/Drew in the state tournament, the Tigers fought until the final buzzer, but ultimately saw their season come to a close. Even in defeat, Imperial continued to represent the Imperial Valley with pride.

While the loss marks the end of this year's journey, the accomplishments remain: A championship appearance, a state tournament berth, and a 23-win campaign that will be remembered as one of the best in program history.
