Jaxson Jones commits to the University of Oregon just days after decommitting from Washington

Yuma Catholic junior closes recruitment to take his talents to Eugene, Oregon

YUMA, Ariz., (KYMA, KECY) - The football journey for Yuma Catholic's Jaxson Jones once again has taken a big turn after he announced his commitment to the University of Oregon over the weekend.

Early last week, Jones decommitted from the University of Washington - announcing on social media that his recruitment was once again "100% open."

On Sunday, Jones once again took to social media to announce he has now committed to be a Duck at Oregon following his senior season next fall.

Before making his decision, Jones had been offered by at least 17 division one programs, including USC, Notre Dame, Oregon, Arizona State, San Diego State, and many more.

Jones enters his final year with 143 total tackles and 22 sacks.
