Cibola boys soccer beats Gila Ridge 4-0 at home for seventh win on the season

The Raiders held off the Hawks without any issue as they maintained their sixth clean sheet of the season - 13 On Your Side's Luis Lopez reports

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Cibola boys soccer defeated Gila Ridge at home 4-0 on Tuesday night.

The Raiders were excellent on both ends of the field, as the offense created multiple opportunities, and the defense maintained another clean sheet.

Cibola has now had six matches this season without surrendering a goal.

Part of the offensive effort was thanks to a penalty awarded to the Raiders in the first half.

Senior midfielder Nathaniel Claudio put one in the back of the net to put Cibola up 3-0.

One more goal would be scored in route to the Raiders seventh win on the season.

Cibola's win comes ahead of a big road matchup against the undefeated San Luis Sidewinders on Thursday, Jan 19. set for a 6:00 p.m kickoff.

As for Gila Ridge, they drop to 4-6-1 on the year, and will next take the pitch on the road against Desert Ridge on Jan. 20.
