Cibola Lady Raiders swing by San Luis

Gwyneth Perea and the Lady Raiders have a good outing at Desert Hills on Tuesday

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - The Cibola Lady Raiders won a dual meet over San Luis at Desert Hills Country Club on Tuesday.

Cibola senior Kaiya Cabrales won the event shooting a 51. Junior Gwyneth Perea finished six strokes behind with a 57. Hannah Gurney placed third followed by Maleia Padilla, Rebecca Munsee and Ayslie Espinoza.

"I'm so proud of their work ethic and determination," Cibola head coach Kristin Collins said. "We have great senior leadership and our goal is to continue to build the program and compete for district championships. Above all, the girls are anxious to learn and get better."

Miah Vanegas led the Sidewinders with a 78 followed by Kiara Quiroz's 79.

On Thursday Cibola joined Gila Ridge to Trilogy Golf Club in Gilbert to meet up with Casteel and Basha.
