Cabrales’ 56 paces Lady Raiders to tri-meet victory

Cibola takes girls golf meet at Desert Hills over Yuma and San Luis on Wednesday

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - The Cibola girls golf team was back in action at the Desert Hills Golf Course on Wednesday in a tri-meet with San Luis and Yuma. After falling short by 12 strokes to Kofa on Tuesday, Cibola improved their score on Wednesday shooting 239 as a team to win the event.

Senior Kaiya Cabrales led the way for Cibola taking the top honors with a 56. Senior's Mia Soria, Hannah Gurney and junior Gwyneth Perea tied for second posting scores of 61. Senior Maleia Padilla shot a 66.

Miah Vanegas led the way for San Luis with a 71.
