Lady Raiders recognized with region honors

Eight Cibola basketball players earn 6A Southwest Region honors with head coach Anthony Gerg named Coach of the Year.

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - The Cibola girls basketball team put together another impressive season finishing 22-4 overall and earning a home playoff game in the opening round of the AIA State 6A playoffs against Perry. While Cibola would fall at home to the Pumas, the honors and accolades showered down on the Lady Raiders team soon after the season was complete.

Cibola senior Myna Johnson was named Region Player of the Year.

Head coach Anthony Gerg was named Region Coach of the Year.

Rori Hoffmeyer and Sierra Bomhower were selected to the Region 1st Team.

Caylie Holyfield and Isabela Molina landed on the Region 2nd Team.

Honorable mentions went to Kiara Hinton, Mischa Matthews & Mia Soria.

Congratulations Lady Raiders on a fantastic season.
