The Sun Devils lost to USC in the Maui Invitational Championship while the former Matador leads Michigan to the $1 million at the Players Era Festival

(KYMA) - The Arizona State Sun Devils run at the Maui Invitational fell short against the USC Trojans in the Championship game while former Arizona Western Matador Yaxel Lendeborg was named the Players Era Festival MVP after a 20-point, 11-rebound double-double in the championship against the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

In the championship game against the Bulldogs, the Wolverines shot nearly 50% behind the arc, helping them reach the centennial mark the third time this season.

Throughout the tournament, Lendeborg averaged 17.3 points per game, and has helped Michigan jump out to their undefeated 7-0 start on the season.

Meanwhile, with the loss, the Devils drop to 6-2 and leave Maui empty handed. Their next game is against Oklahoma on December 6 at home.
