AWC advances to NJCAA semifinals after undefeated showing in group stage

The Lady Mats continued their dominance at the national stage, after beating Salt Lake Community College 2-0 on Tuesday

ENID, Okla. (KYMA) - The Arizona Western College Matadors beat the Salt Lake Community College Bruin Bears 2-0 to advance to their third straight NJCAA semifinal.

The Mats also defeated Trinity Valley Community College 6-0 on Sunday to remain undefeated in the group stage, pushing them to their semifinal berth.

Fernanda Quiroz was the lone goal scorer in AWC's victory over the Bruin Bears.

Matador's Head Coach Victor Verdugo had high praise for the sophomore and the rest of the team.
