Cibola boys basketball pulls off comeback win after being down big in the first quarter

The Raiders responded to a big first quarter deficit to pull off a tight win against Mountain Ridge - 13 On Your Side's Luis Lopez reports

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Cibola Raiders boys basketball defeated the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions 65-64 at Raider Gym on Friday night.

After falling to a 22-5 deficit in the first quarter, Cibola stormed back to make the game competitive.

The Raiders used a presence in the paint and timely shooting to make it 22-15 at the end of the first.

Head coach Dennis Ponder's squad would eventually come through with the close victory.

Cibola is now 6-3 to start the season.

They'll next take the court on Mon Dec 12 when they go on the road to take on Agua Fria.
