Antelope head baseball coach Scott Shickel passes away at 32 years old

Schickel was the head baseball coach for a year, while also assisting on the football staff and teaching auto shop at Antelope - 13 On Your Side's Luis Lopez reports

WELLTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Unfortunate news out of Antelope High school from Sunday.

Baseball coach Scott Shickel has passed away.

As of right now it is unclear what caused his death.

Shickel had joined the Antelope staff last year.

He was also an assistant football coach and auto shop teacher.

Shickel was beloved by his players and fellow staff at Antelope, such as athletic director Rocky Jaime. …

Who say he took pride in coaching out on the diamond.

“He loved the game, he loved teaching it. It was a joy to watch him work with the kids. It really was,” Jaime said.

Services for Shickel will be held on Saturday.

He was only 32 years old.
