$1.7 million generated from sports betting in Arizona

(KYMA, KECY/ AP News) - $1.7 million was generated in the month of December alone, thanks to sports betting in Arizona.

That's according to the Arizona Department of Gaming after releasing its figures Tuesday.

In December, the state had nearly half a billion in total wages, which the agency says is a "strong start for the market."

Meanwhile, Yuma’s first ever sports betting lounge opened at Paradise Casino in December, as well. The casino tells us business has been booming.
